Mike graduated in 1989 with a B.Sc. degree in Quantity Surveying and was immediately exposed to all principal facets of professional quantity surveying and cost control practice. In 1994 he was selected to work in London for a sister company to learn and share international skills. It was there that his interest turned to Project Management.

Since 1994 he has been responsible for project managing all aspects of a number of major construction projects. Mike completed his MBA through the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in 2002. He joined Betts Townsend in 2011 and was promoted to Director in 2012.
