The Arena Mall retail development, currently under construction, is the first project in Uganda to apply the Green Star tool requirements by both WEB Limited Kenya and Solid Green Limited from South Africa. The tool recognises and rewards environmental leadership and is a recognised symbol of sustainability achievement.
The development is located along Nsambya road and Mukwano road in Kampala. It measures approximately over 20,000 gross built area with over 15,000 gross lettable area. The design and the construction of the mall has taken into consideration the efficient green build requirements for Green 4 Star certification which is under review in SA on both design and as-built submittals.
The proposed Development is owned by Chestnut Uganda Ltd an affiliate of Stanlib Property Development with Shoprite at the Main Anchor.
Betts and Townsend are the Development Managers and Project Managers for this project with full completion and trade projected for the end of 2020.
