Betts & Townsend (Pty) Ltd were appointed as the Construction Project Managers on the Umhlanga Ridge development in South Africa for Growthpoint Properties. This 6-storey office building has a gross lettable area of 3308.50 m2 and consists of 2 basement levels of covered parking (152 parking bays), 3 office space levels and a roof level, which includes a roof-top covered entertainment area and external landscaped terrace area for functions.
The total project budget was R 65 million (ex VAT) and the construction programme was 9 months. The project team under the leadership of Betts & Townsend Project Managers (Pty) Ltd achieved completion with the required period and within budget. The project was completed successfully and achieved a Green Star 4 rating on completion.
